Sedona in October is an ideal time of year. Pleasant weather and beautiful surroundings. We rented an Airbnb at the base of Thunder Mountain in a quiet neighborhood, just a couple minutes from West Sedona stores and restaurants. The Pink Jeep Tour along the Broken Arrow trail was wonderful. Our lunch at L’Auberge de Sedona’s restaurant, Cress on Oak Creek was outstanding in food and ambiance. Our side trip to scenic Jerome brought interesting history, scenery and eclectic shops. We took a ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad and loved it. More trails, overlooks, shops and restaurants than you can tackle in a week.

We visited Tucson next and fell in love with all the Saguaro cactus. We had a great meal at El Charro Café Downtown and regional fast food at eegee’s. More Saguaro than you can imagine on our drive and walks in Saguaro National Park. Awesome views at the Windy Point Vista on the highway up to Mount Lemmon. Lots of retired aircraft to see indoors and out at the Pima Air & Space Museum.
