South Carolina & Georgia Coast

South Carolina & Georgia Coast
Charleston Ravenel Bridge, Mt. Pleasant Pier
Charleston, SC Rainbow Row

Coming north from Florida, we visited the coastal areas of Georgia and South Carolina. Jekyll Island’s Driftwood Beach is a unique experience with all that wood weathered into artsy shapes. We loved Savannah on a previous visit and stopped back in to enjoy it more. Beaufort is a picturesque coastal town with lots of visual history, shops, homes, restaurants and a relaxing waterfront park.

Charleston, SC historic areas are very walkable. To get added background, be sure to take a horse-drawn carriage ride or a guided walking tour. The Charleston City Market has city blocks full of vendor stalls with food, wearables, art, crafts and much more. With so many points of interest, it’s hard to pick from the gardens, waterfront parks, the Aquarium, shops, restaurants and historic spots. More places to stay, restaurants and things to see just over the bridge in Mount Pleasant.
